Monday - 7-20-09

Happy Monday everyone! How was your weekend? Ours was pretty good. Got almost everything done on the list that we wanted to. Still left to do: washing & waxing my vehicle, weeding and sewing the flower pin I made. Unfortunately I forgot to take photos as I was making it for a tutorial, but I will make another and post the tutorial. They are really easy and kind of fun to make!

Tomorrow night I am hoping to get some more things listed on ebay. We finally have our Internet back up and running.

Thank goodness it is finally Friday! Yeah for the weekend!

Last night I dyed a skirt I found at goodwill. It was an aqua sort of color and a bit splotchy like someone had spilled something on it. So I bought some navy dye and away we went. It turned out well. Now I just need to know how to not get the dye to bleed as i would like to wear it in Florida and don't want to go on a water ride and have blue dye running down my leg. Anyone have any ideas for me?

Wednesday - 7-15-09

Still tired, still busy at work, story never ends......

I have started researching our Florida trip and it is getting me excited. I so can't wait for our vacation! Things left to do: book rental car, buy Disney and Universal tickets.

My ebay items ended last night and a special thanks to all of you who bid and or won! 3 out of the 5 ended up not selling, even though they had watchers. One item had 5 people watching it but no bids. Oh well..... Hopefully our modem will be back to normal this weekend and I will be able to list more stuff. If you did win something from me, I will have it out in the mail to you tomorrow.

Tuesday - 7-14-09

Made it through another Monday! I have 5 ebay auctions ending tonight. 3 skirts, 1 blazer/jacket and a New pair of mens shoes. Be sure to check them out. Follow the link on the right side to my ebay auctions.

Not much to say today. Kinda sleepy and super busy at work. I did find gas today for $2.25 per gallon! I went to Kroger and it was $2.35 per gallon and I got 10 cents off that price with my shopper card. I filled up for under $30! That makes me excited!

Plans for tonight..... I am hoping to get to my craft/sewing projects. Since I can't post anything new on ebay until we get our secured network back. So I am hoping to get my pattern cut out and started at least. I am also hoping to get a flower pin made as well. We shall see.....

Monday 7-13-09

Happy Monday all. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend....

Our Internet modem went down Saturday morning so I was unable to list anything on eBay. We should have our new one in a few days. So once we get it up and running I will be posting more on eBay. I was able to list a few more books on half.com though. I do have a few listings on eBay that end Tuesday evening.

I had big ambitions planned for the weekend and they didn't happen. I wasn't able to sew or list anything, but I did get my homework done.

Friday - 7-10-09

First off, thank you everyone who said an encouraging word to me yesterday and thank you all for praying. I will keep you all updated on our status as time goes on. It now actually looks like he may be working right up until our vacation and possible the week after it. So that is good. Please continue to keep us in your prayers. Thanks!

I will be blogging on our vacation, but it may not be everyday. I don't know yet if we get wireless access in our condo or not. We may have to pay for it. But I do promise to blog, but it will be sporadic.

I'm acting like vacation is next week! We actually leave in a month. So far, we have our flight & condo booked. We also have our house/cat sitter lined up. We are looking into getting our Disney & Universal tickets soon. My mom and dad are Triple A members and may be able to get a discount for us. We are checking into it though.

This weekend is going to be a calm one. No family, not a lot of homework. (Only a 5 page paper due on Monday) So I think I am going to try to eBay some more stuff, clean the house and hopefully get some crafting things done. I have another skirt I want to make and a few flower pins as well.
